Tips for a prosperous 2009

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a prosperous New Year!

Secondly, I would like to give you a gift – a formula to make 2009 the year in which you start living your dream.

I am going to give you a simple formula that will give you the best shot at becoming all you can be.

This success formula is remarkably simple:

• Find your passion
• Become the best you can be at it

That’s it! No mumbo jumbo, no heavy theory, no secret formulas…

Recently, the book and DVD, ‘The Secret’ was a best seller, yet It’s secret formula can be simply summarized in one phrase: ‘The Law of Attraction‘. It states that you must simply focus on what you want and not on what you don’t want. Millions all over the world bought the book and the DVD, yet they made no progress towards their goal. While The Law of Attraction does work, their is some action that you must take.

The action that I am telling you to take is to find your passion and become better at it.

Spend some time, preferably as soon as possible, to seek out your passion, or put some passion into what you are doing at present.

Once this is found, set some goals around becoming better at it. Put in a plan to learn as much as possible about the subject. Seek experts, mentors. Do whatever it takes.

The difference between doing something that you simply have an interest in and something that you have a passion for is that if you have an interest in something, you will do what you think is necessary. If you have a passion for something you will do whatever it takes!

I once more remind you of Arie De Geus’ statement:

While initially you won’t be able to learn faster, you will at least be focusing on being better than you are now. As you get better at what you are, you will start getting better leverage and with better leverage comes more success.
